Just off of highway 36 in Westminster is the Butterfly Pavilion and home of one the most interesting places in Colorado. We have been to the Butterfly Pavilion several times for either a birthday party, school field trip, or just plain fun.
The Butterfly Pavilion is home to over 5,000 animals! Embark on an adventure to the realm of Rosie, our famous tarantula. Step to Water’s Edge to be immersed in an underwater world full of sea creatures. Explore our tropical rainforest where 1,600 butterflies rule the sky! End your journey in our gardens and nature trail where you’re sure to see critters of all kinds.
The Butterfly Pavilion is located just 15 minutes north of Denver and 20 minutes south of Boulder in Colorado. Step inside Butterfly Pavilion where Butterflies are just the Beginning!
At the Butterfly Pavilion, science supported by research, is the driving force behind our conservation efforts. We recognize the importance of managing our natural resources today so we can ensure a wealth of biodiversity tomorrow. Our mission will continue to foster an appreciation of invertebrates while educating the public about the importance of conservation of threatened habitats in the tropics, around the world, and in our backyard.
From caring for our residents within Butterfly Pavilion walls, to educating the public on the importance of protecting pollinators in our backyards to supporting fair trade half way around the world, our science and conservation efforts are far reaching.
